This past month our sweet baby has been sick. Carson has had two ear infections, croup, RSV and pneumonia. He weighs 25 lbs now. We are so ready for our sweet baby to feel better.
One of the medications Carson was on was called albuterol. He was taking it in liquid form at first. This medication was awful. It made him so hyper and well just crazy. His heart would race and he didn't sleep good. Now, he is on an albuterol inhaler that we have been using for his wheezing. At first, I was a little concerned about how this was all going to work. It was a little intimating at first. You have a mask which is attached to a space chamber which is attached to the inhaler. You have to shake the inhaler first before attaching it to the spacer. Then you can only do one pump at a time and you must hold the mask over his face for 30 sec and have him breathe in the medication. Then you have to wait one minute before administering another round. Thankfully, Carson did better than I anticipated. I have not had to use his inhaler for the past several days now! We go back in 6 weeks for a check-up to make sure that the wheezing was RSV related and not asthma related.
He knows the difference between dark and light. The other day he went into his room and it was really dark. He would say, "momma, dark." Then, he proceeded to find his lantern and turn it on and go in his room so he could see.
He has learned how to climb up on our bed all by himself.
He is still interested in potty training. He loves being rewarded with stickers.
He was swinging the other day and said to us, “ momma, dada, moon.” We looked up and sure enough the moon was out.
When he makes a mess he says, "momma, mess." And then he will clean it up all by himself.
He is such a good helper. He loves helping me put the clothes in the dryer and then when they are dry he loves to push the laundry basket into the room and help dump them out so I can put them away. He also loves to rake or sweep.
He knows all the sounds or actions the following animals make: cow, pig, duck, cat, dog, bird, horse, sheep, owl, elephant, fish, alligator, kangaroo and snake .
Funny things:
We were at the doctor and Carson spotted a baby in a car seat. He then turns to me with his finger over his mouth and says, “momma, shh.” It was so cute.
I took him to get his hair cut the other day and he did so good being still. When Matt got home from work Carson went up to him and said, "dada, hair." He was trying to tell Matt he got a haircut.
