Even though Carson was very sad school was over, he was very much looking forward to SUMMER!
I asked him what he wanted to do and these are some of his answers, eat popsicles, go swimming, go to the zoo, go on vacation and go to his cousin's house. Well, it has been 9 days since school has been out and we have been busy.
For Memorial Day, we went to MS for a long weekend. We celebrated birthdays, helped Matt's grandmother with some stuff around her house, rode go carts, visited with family and had a good time.
Let's not forget all the men and women who have sacrificed their life so we can have the freedom to do these fun things.
We came home and a few days later we took a trip to Memphis to visit cousins.
Off we go!!
While we were there we went and jumped at Sky Zone. They all were so tired by the time we were done.
All you see is 3 blurs... :)
We also went to the zoo. I LOVE their zoo! This was SG's first trip to the zoo. She slept for most of it, but enjoyed the animals when she was awake. We weren't sure if the weather was going to cooperate, but it turned out to be fine. We only got sprinkled on a few times and with it being cloudy the temperature was perfect and it wasn't crowded!
They all did great! They walked almost the entire zoo!
She wasn't too interested in the tigers.
The two big boys got to pet sting rays. They loved it. Carson wasn't too sure about it at first, but once he realized they weren't going to hurt him he was all about it.
Sarah Grace decided to wake up and she loved watching the birds.
With 3 boys we of course had to go visit the reptiles!
So glad this snake was behind the glass.
Carson loves feeding the giraffes.
Sarah Grace also got in on the fun.
After all that walking our tummies got hungry. So we had lunch with the bears.
She liked watching them from a distance. When I pushed her up to the glass so she could see better she started crying.
After lunch the boys played in the water. The were shivering by the time they were done, but they didn't care.
We watched the sea lion show. Carson thought it was neat.
Then they got to ride a camel. See why I love this zoo? You get to do so many fun things!
We caught the elephants during training. They did some cool little tricks.
The zoo keeper asked if anyone had a question and Carson wanted to know if they had any teeth. So they feed the elephant so he would open his mouth good and wide so Carson could see his teeth.
Such a great time. Poor Sarah Grace couldn't make it all the way..she fell back asleep and slept the whole way back to the house.
We ended our fun time with cousins at chick-fil-a. Carson's favorite place :)
So far, we have had a fun, busy summer. I don't see it slowing down anytime soon!!
Happy Summer!
